Dyspareunia (Painful Intercourse)

Reasons of severe pain take in vaginismus, infection, womb disorders, cysts and endometriosis. External pain can be because of a need of lubrication, menopausal dryness, infection, genital warts and a bruised clitoris.
Painful contact has an effect on women much more regularly than men. It is not strange at times to feel pain on intercourse but if it occurs often and is spoiling your pleasure you have to address the problem. It may need something as simple as your partner necessitates taking a bit more time with foreplay and using a lubricant. Painful intercourse can often have a negative emotional outcome on a relationship. At times pairs separate because of it. So you should get the problem sorted out as soon as possible.
Painful intercourse in men
Men do from time to time experience pain throughout intercourse. Common causes are disorders of the skin of the penis, for example eczema or psoriasis. Or it can be that the woman’s vagina is too tight for her partner. A good sex lubricant can help here!
Occasional causes of male pain consist of:
-a forgotten stitch left in the woman’s vagina after childbirth
-an IUD thread - or a displaced IUD
-Peyronie’s disease - a male disorder that causes bending of the penis
Painful intercourse in women
There are dozens of possible causes of dyspareunia. Luckily, many of them aren’t too severe. So again, you have to to get yourself assessed soon. One of the first things to begin is whether the pain is deep inside or near the outside. That may not be simple to say as at times a pain is both surface and deep but it can be helpful in getting to the root of the problem.
Causes of deep pain:
-Vaginismus - a spasm of the vaginal muscles, caused principally by fear of being hurt
-Infections of the cervix and sore areas on it can cause pain during deep penetration
-Various womb disorders, as well as fibroids, can cause deep intercourse pain
-Endometriosis may cause intense, deep pain during intercourse
-Cysts on the ovary can cause severe pain
-Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) causes inflammation, so the pressure of contact causes deep pain
-Ectopic pregnancy
Causes of superficial pain
-Pain that is nearer the outside of the vagina can also be caused by vaginismus (see below). However, there can be many other possible causes.
-Need of lubrication caused by tenseness
-Menopausal or post-menopausal dryness
-Vaginal infections such as thrush
-Injury from sexual assault or a childbirth tear or episiotomy cut
-Genital warts
-Vulvitis - an inflammation of the vulva (the opening to the vagina)
-Bruised clitoris caused by excessive friction
-Urethral caruncle - a tender patch that develops at the urinary opening
-Foreign body in the vagina such as a forgotten tampon
-Cancer - a rare cause of intercourse pain
